3 UAE Students defying beauty norms through a magazine

Three UAE students launched a 'Newsstand' publication aimed at defying conventional beauty standards represented by mainstream media.

Shuchita Bahl, an IB2 GEMS Modern Academy grade 12 student, founder and photographer of the Newsstand publication, launched it along with two of her peers, both from the same school grade, Anoushka Kapur, author and layout maker, and graphic designer Kevin Philip.

As young as they are, pulling off such act which will surely result a tremendous impact to youth, especially girls is in deed remarkable. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say, but accepting the fact that each one is different and has their own beautiful side is one thing.
